Since the coronavirus pandemic began, we at PakTech have had two goals: to ensure the health and safety of our employees while continuing to supply our valued partners in the Food, Beverage, and Pharmaceutical industries. Thanks to the procedures we’ve put in place and the diligent work of our team, we are in position to do both. To those who have asked: Yes, PakTech is open for business, and we’re here to support you.
Our team consulted the recommendations set forth by the Department of Homeland Security and PakTech has been deemed an essential business. The Guidance on the Essential Critical Infrastructure Workforce determined PakTech as a packaging manufacturer and supplier for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries therefore as an essential workforce.
From there we turned our attention to making sure we could operate safely. We utilized our detailed Business Continuity Plan, along with the CDC Guidance for Businesses and Employers, to quickly adapt our operations to comply with all federal, state, and local safety guidelines. Procedures are in place for social distancing, employee education, and cleaning/disinfecting all frequently touched areas. We’re also beginning to do temporal scans of all employees to make sure any symptoms are caught early.
We are continuing to monitor this situation closely, and if anything changes we will provide updates. Please see below for a letter to our valued partners from Gary Panknin.
Coronavirus (COVID-19) Communication
Dear Valued Partner,
Reports of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been dominating the headlines, including indications of supply chain disruptions across many industries. Please be assured that ensuring the continuity of your supply is our top concern and we continue to monitor the situation closely. At this time, we are not experiencing any significant COVID-19 related disruptions to our supply chain. PakTech also maintains sufficient inventory levels to accommodate interruption in supply such as this.
If the transportation route for delivery of product is not affected, there should be no risk of supply associated with this event. As this is an ongoing concern, we will provide updates as needed.
At PakTech, we take the health of our employees and clients personally. As a result, we are taking the necessary steps internally to mitigate any potential interruption to our business or our service to you.
Sincerely,
Gary Panknin
